Jules

Wow! Has my life ever changed recently. I’m living in a nice home, I get fed my own food regularly, I’ve learned about being in a crate, and sleeping in a soft dog bed. I didn’t have any of that before. There’s also plenty of fresh water around. Let’s say I didn’t come from the best conditions. I wasn’t around many humans, so I get scared and act very shy for a little while. But once I get comfortable in my own home, there’s no holding me back! I really want my own family. I like other dogs, don’t know about cats, but they are probably OK. My foster mom thinks that I’d be OK with kids too. What I want the most is lots of love and attention. I’ll be happy to give you plenty of little cocker kisses too.

Jules is coming along in his development. He’s 17 lbs, a little guy. He’s about 9 mos old, and may get a little bit bigger. He’s chocolate and white with cute brown dots in the white fur. He was just neutered. Also, due to probable bad breeding, he had a growth on his nose that had to be removed – a bunch of fur grew inward and grew into a bump. Now he has a seam, that will eventually be covered up with fur. He is coming along with his house training – he’s not perfect, but he will definitely potty when he’s taken outside. You just have to get him on a schedule. Keep in mind that Jules is very much a puppy – very curious, and likes to chew sometimes on things you don’t want him to chew on. He has much to learn and will need constant discipline (think of a 3 yr old toddler). He doesn’t know how to walk on a leash yet. He had never done that before. We’re working on that too. So how did Jules get his name, you ask? His eyes are green, and someone said like emeralds. So we thought about Jewels, but that’s a girl’s name. Then I remembered Jules Verne, the author, and his name became Jules. Of course, he doesn’t answer to it yet, so you may name him anything you want! Fill out that application and put at the top that you want to meet JULES!
