While Maggee has a lot of wonderful years ahead of her (Cockers have an average life span of 15 years) her adoption fee is reduced to $125 due to her age.

This 7 to 8 year old beautiful black & tan girl was rescued by the most wonderful people in the world. They found Maggee running wild and so matted it was a miracle she could walk. These folks had her groomed...(sadly she had to be shaved completely but it will grow back!), took her to the vet and got her healthy again before asking Cocker Rescue to help find them new homes. The couple would have been more than happy to keep this very well behaved, house trained girl but their existing pets are not happy at all about the addition to the household.

It is possible that Maggee had been used as a breeding female. Eight NON-cancerous cysts were removed from her mammary glands when she was spayed. They should never return and very probably were the result of having too many litters of puppies in succession.

Maggee is a very loving, active dog. She responds to commands such as sit instantly. Maggee gets along with other dogs, cats (likes to chase but not catch) and children. She is housebroken and walks well on a leash. Maggee will jump up on folks to say how happy she is to see them so that will need some training if it bothers you. She has never snarled or growled while with her finders or fosters. She rides very well in the car and has never met a stranger! Maggee loves chewies and can't give away enough of her love! Maggee has a tendency to bolt out open doors or gates so care must be taken in that area! She weighs about 30 lbs...could use to lose a couple of those… If you are looking for a special, loving, snuggly, housetrained cocker then Maggee is the girl for you!
