Female Black and Whitte

|
This tiny little girl is described as “BEYOND ADORABLE” by the rescue person who helped get her out of the kill shelter. She is around 2 and is tiny and sweet. She does have a cherry eye that will be repaired and Pebbles is heartworm positive and will begin her treatment soon. Check out the information sites listed below for more details on the cherry eye and on heartworm. This will make her available for placement around mid April, but don’t hesitate to apply to meet her before that. We can always mark her as spoken for! Cherry eye is a condition that affects the inner eyelid of some dogs. It is not contagious, it is not genetic. The treatment is simple. Cocker Rescue dogs who come to us with Cherry eye will have the condition corrected before they are placed in adoption. For information on this condition please visit: http://www.peteducation.com/article.cfm?cls=2&cat=1606&articleid=409 Heart Worm is a disease so easily preventable by the regular administration of a simple preventative medication. The treatment for heart worms is performed by a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and involves the administration to the infected animal of a systemic poison to kill the adult worms and larvae. It is difficult for the animal, who must be kept quiet and unstimulated during the cycle of administration or risk death from either the drugs used in treatment or the clumping of the dead worms in their cardio-vascular system. Please keep your pets on heart worm preventative.
