Perry Peace is a sweet boy with what I can only imagine as a painful past. He is very skittish and loves to hide. He has a beautiful coat and really loves our two cockers. He sleeps with us in our bed at night and is starting to feel a little more comfortable.

At first he wouldn’t come anywhere near us and he is now starting to come when we call him. He didn’t eat much the first two days but I am happy to report he is now eating his entire meals! He does really well with both of our cocker spaniels and loves to follow them around. He finally felt comfortable enough here to jump up on the couch, too. He still hides behind the recliner and sometimes under our dining room table.

No ACCIDENTS in the house so far and he goes outside every time we let the boys out. He is now licking my face a little and will let me lay with him on the floor from time to time. I feel like we are making great progress but there is still much more to achieve. I know it will take him a while to warm up to everyone as he has only warmed up to me and my dogs. He is still nervous around Brett and my grandmother.

He crouches down when you come near him or you go to pet him as he thinks you are going to hit him or seems scared of hands.

His surgical area is healing nicely. It will be a while before his neuter area tightens up, but it will happen with time. He has a beautiful coat that is straight and long with red buff and white and brown spots on the white and on his legs. Perry Peace is a sweetheart that definitely deserves a great chance in life especially since he has many more years ahead of him.
