HI Everybody!!! My foster mom has a friend who gave me my name of Simba cause I reminded her of the little cub in the Lion King. I have these cute freckles on my nose and very inquisitive eyes – so I’m told. I have a lot to learn, but I’m already learning about lots of things – getting attention and being held, giving kisses, playing with toys and the other dogs here, running around in a yard. I have just learned how to jump up on a coach. Wow! I also have learned that peanut butter is good. I was scared of it for a week or so, but now I know it tastes good. My foster mom hides pills in there, but that’s OK. I really like having my own dish of food, and I don’t mind being in a crate either. It’s safe. Sometimes when other people I don’t know come over, I will go get in my crate, cause I’m scared of strangers. Once I know you though, I’m not afraid at all. I just need a family who will be patient and love me and teach me more about life. Cocker Kisses, Simba Simba’s very funny. He weighs 17 lbs, and is about 10-11 mos old. He may grow a little bit, and being a cocker, he’ll eat and fill out as he ages. He was just neutered, so he’s ready to go. He is doing well with his house training, he just needs a schedule he can get used to. Simba has discovered he LOVES dog toys – tennis balls, kongs, doggie barbells, anything he can put in his mouth and chew on. He is a puppy and loves to chew. What’s great about Simba is that he will entertain himself – and YOU – with his antics while he’s playing. He’s learned how to jump on the couch this week and now he’ll jump on the couch with a tennis ball and he’ll chew and play with it, then it rolls off and he’ll go after it head first and his back end will follow crazily. He will also try to roll over on the ball or toy; the other evening he was rolling around on the couch and was too near the edge and did a sideways somersault, fortunately landing on his feet after a 180 roll. Simba wants attention very badly but he doesn’t really know how to sit in your lap very well. He’s trying to learn. He doesn’t walk well on a leash – he had never done that before, so he’s working on that. Simba will need a patient and loving family. He gets along very well with other dogs and is not at all aggressive. He will develop into a great little dog for the right family. |
